Jobrapido is seeking an experienced Software Developer for a fully remote role within healthcare cloud ecosystems, focusing on EHR systems such as Epic. You will design distributed cloud applications, implement CI/CD and IaC, and lead DevOps practices across cross-functional teams.

The role requires ownership of end-to-end architecture, security, and reliability, with experience in Azure/AWS/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, and AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of professional software development experience.
• Epic Certification is highly desirable.
• Deep expertise in system architecture for scalable cloud apps.
• Strong healthcare domain knowledge, especially EHRs.
• Extensive cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• IaC with Terraform/Bicep/ARM templates.

Responsibilities

• Follow the SDLC to design, code, configure, test, and document applications.
• Prepare technical design specifications based on requirements.
• Review requirements and design documents for clarity and feasibility.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other developers.
• Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Develop and maintain operational and system documentation.
• Design scalable, secure cloud apps using microservices and APIs.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our remote team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, scalable, and secure cloud-based applications within the healthcare domain, particularly focusing on Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing distributed systems, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance healthcare technology infrastructure. This position requires an independent VISA holder who can work on W2/1099 or through their own corporation, with no sponsorship provided. The role demands a high level of technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
• Highest academic qualifications, with certifications such as Epic Certification being highly desirable.
• Deep expertise in system architecture and design, particularly in building scalable, secure, and resilient cloud applications.
• Strong healthcare domain knowledge, especially in EHR systems like Epic.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, version control (Git), and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of relational and distributed data technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and Databricks.
• Strong understanding of observability, security, and operational resilience in production environments, with familiarity with tools like Grafana, Azure Application Insights, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Excellent product ownership skills, with the ability to manage end-to-end system architecture and implementation.
