About The Company
Jobot is partnering with a well-funded, growing startup focused on improving the way payments are processed across the construction industry. Its platform brings lenders, builders, and trades together in one place to help reduce operational friction, lower risk, improve project execution, and ensure approved work is paid promptly. The company is working to address longstanding challenges in payment operations and build solutions that can make a meaningful difference for businesses across the industry.
About The Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to build and maintain full-stack applications spanning user interfaces, backend services, and cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of reliable, scalable software that supports the company’s platform and its users. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality assurance, design, and product stakeholders to understand requirements, solve technical challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions.
This is a remote position, with the expectation that you can work effectively during Central U.S. business hours. The anticipated salary range is $95,000–$100,000 per year. The role offers the opportunity to join a growing startup early and may include immediate equity, subject to the company’s applicable terms and plans.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with at least three years of full-stack software development experience. You should have strong working knowledge of .NET, C#, REST APIs, and JSON, as well as experience building backend services and integrating application components.
Qualified candidates will bring experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including services such as Amazon S3, and a solid understanding of SQL or PostgreSQL database design and optimization. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, source control, and CI/CD workflows is important. You should also be comfortable working in an Agile environment, communicating clearly with both technical and nontechnical colleagues, and contributing constructively to team discussions. Experience with Docker or Kubernetes, mobile application deployment to the Apple App Store or Google Play, and test automation is beneficial.
Responsibilities
Build, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET and C#. Develop responsive user-facing applications by translating design concepts and Figma files into accessible, functional interfaces. Deploy and manage applications across AWS and Azure environments, including relevant storage and cloud services.
Design, maintain, and optimize SQL and PostgreSQL databases to support application performance, data integrity, and evolving product needs. Use Azure DevOps for source control, build processes, and continuous integration and deployment. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning, sharing feedback that supports maintainability and consistent engineering standards.
Work with QA and product partners to support automated testing, investigate defects, troubleshoot performance issues, and deliver improvements. Help clarify requirements, estimate work, and communicate progress and technical considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
Benefits
This opportunity offers a competitive annual salary of $95,000–$100,000 and the chance to join a well-funded startup at a meaningful stage of growth. Eligible employees may receive equity, providing an opportunity to participate in the company’s development. The remote work arrangement offers flexibility, with collaboration scheduled around Central U.S. time. You will work alongside a cross-functional team and contribute directly to products designed to improve payment workflows in a complex industry.
