Job summary

Ohio Department of Health is seeking a Software Development Specialist 2 to design and implement systems analysis, recommend application solutions, and support testing and deployment of MS .NET applications. Strong collaboration with business units will drive software requirements and lifecycle activities.

The role emphasizes documentation, standards development, and occasional leadership of technical discussions across teams within the ODH enterprise.

Qualifications

48 mos. combined work experience in systems analysis, programming for computer applications, and testing/implementation tasks.
Experience with .NET Framework – C# and web development is preferred.
Experience with Azure DevOps, SQL Server development is listed in evaluation criteria.

Responsibilities

Identify and document system software requirements with business personnel.
Provide post-production support for business applications including maintenance and troubleshooting.
Assist in reviewing and evaluating software development methodologies.
Perform software implementation tasks including source control and deployment activities.
Help develop standards for programming and SDLC activities.
Lead discussions with technical and non-technical staff on basic to moderate topics.
