Job summary

Amazon AWS Applied AI Solutions is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to rapidly deliver features end-to-end for agentic applications. You will design, implement, test and deploy components that integrate with AWS services, focusing on governance, policy enforcement and session replay for AI agents.

We value candidates who can ship with speed, own designs through production, and collaborate across teams to improve reliability and scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end: design implement test deploy and operate in production
• Build new services for policy enforcement, session recording and replay, human-in-the-loop approval workflows, and human takeover of agent sessions
• Integrate with AWS services and make build-vs-compose decisions with your team
• Handle customer content with care: recording pipelines retention and access controls where correctness is the product
• Collaborate with engineers on adjacent teams to unblock dependencies and align on interfaces
• Contribute to operational excellence: oncall runbooks alarms and incident response
