Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr Software Development Engineer for AI Agent Identity & Governance within the AWS Applied AI Solutions Core Services team. You will help build foundational AI building blocks used across AWS applications, owning an area such as agent identity and governance and guiding architecture and roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one language.
• 5+ years of leading design/architecture of systems.
• Experience mentoring, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Experience with full SDLC and code reviews.
• Experience designing AI/ML systems including LLMs, RAG, or agent development.
• Proven track record building distributed systems with APIs.
• Strong knowledge of AWS AI/ML services (Bedrock, SageMaker).

• Own the technical architecture and strategy for a critical AI agent capability area.
• Lead projects requiring multiple engineers and navigate ambiguous problem spaces.
• Research and integrate state-of-the-art AI technologies; decide build vs. leverage.
