Job summary

Daktronics offers a Software Design Student internship based in Brookings, SD, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge digital LED displays and audio systems. You’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to multiple facets of the software world, including testing, development, and collaboration within an agile team.

You’ll contribute to automated testing, learn to use tools like Visual Studio, and work with languages such as C++, C#, and JavaScript.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a 12+ credit Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Find and report software deficiencies.
Assist in manual testing of software.
Track test results and quality metrics.
Write unit tests for new and existing code.
Create automated test scripts for regression testing.
Develop, debug, and maintain software applications using Microsoft Visual Studio.
Develop software using languages like C#, C++, JavaScript, and tools like Salesforce, Azure, Angular.
Leverage AI tools to improve testing efficiency and code quality.
Work with a team to solve problems and deliver quality work.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
