Job summary

Daktronics is seeking an Electrical Design Student for a hands-on internship in Brookings, SD. You will rotate through design and testing tasks, learning Daktronics products and processes under mentorship. This role emphasizes problem solving, independent work, and collaboration within engineering teams.

Expect 15–20 hours weekly during the academic year and up to 40 hours in summer. The position offers exposure to design, testing, and documentation in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in at least 12 credits for the program.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.
• Sophomore or junior year preferred.
• Maintain GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Unofficial transcripts must be submitted with application.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions with AutoCAD mechanical.
• Develop innovative solutions for customer requests.
• Research, design, and document product and process improvements.
• Support component, product, and technology development and documentation.
• Conduct component and system testing.
• Balance multiple projects while communicating progress and blockers.
• Complete quality work in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
