  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical/controls engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years in automotive embedded software development or power-electronics controls.
  • Hands-on production-oriented C/C++ software development experience.
  • Understanding real-time embedded design, interfaces, state machines, diagnostics, and HW/SW integration.
  • Experience translating requirements into design, implementation, and verification activities.
  • Experience with debugging, integration, root-cause analysis, and automated/bench testing.
  • Ability to collaborate across software, systems, controls, hardware, validation, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ software for automotive power-electronics and energy-transfer applications.
  • Design software for AC/DC charging, DC/DC conversion, voltage/current regulation, power-flow control, state machines, diagnostics, protection, and fault handling.
  • Translate system requirements into maintainable and testable software designs and implementations.
  • Collaborate with software architects, system engineers, SSLEs, hardware teams, calibration, validation, and suppliers.
  • Support software architecture, interface definition, feature decomposition, and requirements traceability.
  • Develop and review software with MISRA-aligned practices where applicable.
  • Use CAN and other vehicle communications for interfaces, diagnostics, and feature integration.
  • Perform unit, integration, HIL, system, and vehicle testing; investigate failures and root causes.
  • Support automated build, test and CI workflows.
  • Apply behavior-driven and test-driven development with Given/When/Then criteria.
  • Participate in design/code reviews and process improvement.
  • Contribute to EV charging and bidirectional energy-transfer features.

Job description


  • Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ software for automotive power-electronics and energy-transfer applications

  • Design software for AC/DC charging, DC/DC conversion, voltage and current regulation, power-flow control, state machines, diagnostics, protection, and fault handling

  • Translate system and controls requirements into maintainable and testable software designs and implementations

  • Collaborate with software architects, system engineers, SSLEs, hardware and HWIO teams, calibration, validation, and suppliers

  • Support software architecture, interface definition, feature decomposition, and requirements traceability

  • Develop and review software using coding standards and automotive embedded best practices, including MISRA-aligned development where applicable

  • Use CAN and other vehicle communication technologies for controller interfaces, diagnostics, and feature integration

  • Perform unit, integration, hardware-in-the-loop, system, and vehicle-level testing; investigate failures and resolve root causes

  • Support automated build, test, and continuous-integration workflows

  • Use behavior- and test-driven development practices, including acceptance criteria and Given/When/Then scenarios

  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, technical problem solving, and process improvement

  • Contribute to EV charging, charging protocols, and bidirectional energy-transfer features


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field

  • 2+ years of professional experience in automotive embedded software development, power-electronics controls software, or a closely related field

  • Hands-on experience developing production-oriented software in C or C++

  • Understanding of real-time embedded software design, software interfaces, state machines, diagnostics, and hardware/software integration

  • Experience translating requirements into software design, implementation, and verification activities

  • Experience with software debugging, integration, root-cause analysis, and automated or bench-based testing

  • Ability to work effectively across software, systems, controls, hardware, validation, and other cross-functional engineering teams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail
