Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Software Consulting Engineer Intern to work with the Orchestration and Automation team.

You will gain hands-on experience delivering software solutions for customers using Cisco Secure Development Lifecycle processes. You will participate in daily activities such as coding, customer meetings, building labs, and DevOps tasks, collaborating with software architects, delivery engineers, managers, and Cisco CX leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (Associate's or Bachelor's)
• Qualifying education should be in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fields
• Expected to continue enrollment in degree program following completion of the internship.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Development experience using Python, Java, Spring/Spring Boot, JUnit tests.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows Operating Systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day delivery activities such as coding, customer meetings, deliverable creation, building labs, DevOps, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Engage in full stack development across Cisco technologies and projects.
• Collaborate with Managers, Mentors, Software Architects, Delivery Engineers, and Cisco CX Leadership.
