Overview
We are actively seeking a Software Asset Management Analyst with expertise in Asset & Configuration Management. This role involves agreement understanding, entitlement gathering, compliance monitoring, and data validation for critical software assets. The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of ITIL processes and Capital Markets - Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage agreement understanding, entitlement gathering, data validation, discovery monitoring, reporting, and compliance monitoring for software assets.
- Perform gap analysis and reclaim processes to optimize software licensing and cost efficiency.
- Analyze major publisher license rules and implement optimizations.
- Maintain OEM privilege portals and validate entitlements for software compliance.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather data and ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness in the asset management tool.
- Notify application owners for changes in license metrics, renewals, and reclaims.
- Ensure coordination with Configuration Management to maintain the integrity of software data.
- Document and track software assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Asset Management.
- 2–4 years of experience in Capital Markets - Asset Management.
- Hands-on experience in Asset & Configuration Management.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes for software and asset management.
- Experience with entitlement gathering, discovery monitoring, and compliance monitoring.
- Proven ability to analyze and optimize software licenses in alignment with publisher rules.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to work onsite five days a week in Indianapolis, IN.
Preferred Experience
- Advanced experience with enterprise-level SAM tools.
- Knowledge of software auditing and reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with SaaS license management and cloud-based software solutions.
- Ability to analyze software usage patterns and recommend cost-saving measures.
