Job summary

Alegeus is seeking a Software Architect in Boston, MA. You will lead the technology strategy, drive architectural designs, and collaborate across product and partner teams to build scalable fintech and healthtech solutions.

You will design for security, scalability, and performance, guiding development teams and stakeholders while shaping the next generation of Alegeus platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.
• Minimum 8 years hands-on development and application design experience.
• Minimum 5 years in an architect role on large-scale SaaS projects.
• Strong experience with container-based deployment and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Foster consensus on architectural designs for a stable, secure, scalable product delivery.
• Develop early prototypes and validate them for security, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product teams, architects and partners to evaluate and configure technologies.
• Lead design and own solutions architecture; present options to stakeholders.
• Translate architecture into designs with development teams, upholding standards.

• Foster consensus on architectural designs to ensure a stable, secure, and scalable product's delivery.
• Develop early prototypes of product components and rigorously validate them for technical design, security, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product/Application teams, peer architects, and partner organizations to evaluate, select, recommend, and configure technologies.
• Lead the design and take ownership of solutions architecture, presenting architecture solution options clearly to product owners and architecture leadership.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to translate software architecture into cutting-edge designs, while upholding standards and best practices.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR CREATING A LASTING IMPACT

Abilities:

• Ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge of APIs, UIs, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to keep an end-to-end view when designing complex distributed solutions with a big picture approach.
• Ability to provide services to a variety of internal and external clients.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in hands-on development and application design in the delivery of software products.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an architect role in previous large-scale software development projects, preferably SaaS delivery model.
• Strong experience designing for container-based deployment; working knowledge of Azure or AWS.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Location:

• 25% in office Hybrid (Boston, MA; Orlando, FL; Milwaukee, WI)

The posted salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position’s compensation grade and represents a blended range across our three hub locations: Florida, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin. Within this range, individual compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and education. This range may also be adjusted based on geographic location and market conditions. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include bonuses, incentive plans, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Position Compensation Range: $123,700.00 - $210,800.00
