Description

The Human Services Division of the Placer County Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Senior Software Application Support Specialist to provide technical and functional co-supervision of four Software Application Support Specialists who support key Human Services applications, including CalHEERS, BenefitsCal, MEDS, CalSAWS, and EBT systems.

This position partners with Human Services leadership and the CalSAWS consortium to support system operations, coordinate policy-driven updates, and represent Placer County at consortium meetings. Additional responsibilities include providing user training, developing training materials, troubleshooting system issues, managing support tickets, configuring user access, and delivering ongoing technical support.

The ideal candidate has strong technical and customer support skills, experience supporting Human Services programs, and at least two years of hands‑on CalSAWS experience. Familiarity with Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs, and General Relief programs, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills, is highly desirable.
