Job summary

MITRE invites software/computer science interns to collaborate with a team of experts and apply academic knowledge across areas including Front-End, Back-End, AI/ML, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, mobile, embedded systems, and UX/UI.

Basic qualifications require being a full-time student in CS, software engineering or related fields, continuing enrollment next term, and a minimum on-site presence of 3 days per week. U.S. citizenship for security clearance may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student pursuing an accredited degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related disciplines.
• Must continue to be enrolled the semester following the internship.
• Foundational knowledge of computer science and/or software engineering methodologies, frameworks, tools and/or programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of experts to apply academic knowledge in software development.
• Gain hands-on experience in front-end, back-end, AI/ML, or embedded systems projects.
• Work across areas such as DevSecOps, UX/UI, and modeling/simulation.
