Job summary

Sturtevant's in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Softgoods Supervisor to lead the softgoods sales staff and manage department inventory. The role emphasizes guest service, product knowledge, and effective leadership to drive sales and maintain stock levels in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will greet customers, build rapport, close sales, and expand the sale by recommending related items, while also handling cash transactions and merchandising responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Be Friendly, outgoing and comfortable working with people.
• Love to ski or snowboard and some knowledge of how it all works.
• Have basic computer skills.
• English fluency, written and verbal.
• Need to be flexible in your schedule to get the most out of ski time, including working split shifts, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and regularly lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers in the store.
• Develop a rapport with the customers through conversation to understand their needs.
• Build trust from the customer through product knowledge and the delivery of accurate information.
• Bring the sale to a successful close.
• Expand the sale by demonstrating knowledge of accessory and/or related products or warranty agreements as appropriate for the needs of the customer.
• Operate the cash register to complete the sale.
• Merchandise the store by stocking shelves, counters, or tables with products.
• Other duties as assigned.
