Job summary

Sturtevant's is seeking a Softgoods Sales Associate in the Tacoma area to help guests look good, perform better and feel confident on the mountain. Bring passion for skiing or snowboarding, fashion sense, and a knack for helping people to deliver outstanding guest experiences while driving sales and organizing our softgoods collection.

You'll engage customers, share product knowledge, process transactions, and contribute to a friendly team culture with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, friendly and love talking gear and mountain style all day
• Enjoy ski or snowboard and eager to learn
• Flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, split shifts
• Comfortable standing for hours and able to lift up to 25 lbs
• Basic computer skills for processing transactions
• Strong English fluency (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with energy and enthusiasm, creating a fun shopping experience
• Converse with customers to understand style, needs, and goals
• Share knowledge about technical features, fit and mountain performance
• Close sales while building authentic relationships for repeat visits
• Suggest complementary products and services to enhance adventures
• Master point-of-sale systems for smooth transactions
• Create eye-catching displays and manage inventory of softgoods
• Other duties as assigned
