Job summary

Spinnaker SCA is seeking a Softeon WMS Technical Consultant to drive customer implementations of warehouse management solutions. You will analyze processes, design enhancements, and test interfaces between Softeon WMS and external systems while collaborating with client teams.

The role requires strong WMS experience, SQL proficiency (Oracle preferred), and hands-on leadership in workshop delivery, CRP events, and training. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solve customer information and processing problems to meet business objectives.
• Interview customers and stakeholders to determine project requirements and document results.
• Design solutions by outlining requirements and studying system capabilities.
• Lead parts of CRP or functional reviews of WMS.
• Test interfaces between Softeon WMS and external systems and lead customer testing.
• Prepare customer-facing documents (process descriptions, diagrams, training plans).
• Develop and deliver training and end-user materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accomplishes business objectives by identifying and solving customer information and processing problems
• Identifies project requirements by interviewing customers and stake holders; analyzing operational processes and implemented technical solutions (Warehouse Management Systems, MHE/Automation, RF, Printing and Shipping Solutions); determining project objectives; documenting results; preparing findings and follow-ups.
• Develops problem solutions by describing requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram; studying system capabilities; analyzing alternative solutions; preparing system specifications.
• Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a particular product or platform to the completion of moderately complex assignments.
• Performs detailed design for Softeon specific enhancements.
• Works with customers to test and implement interfaces between Softeon WMS and external systems.
• Works directly with the customer project team during configuration, testing, training, and implementation. Leads parts of the CRP or functional reviews of WMS.
• Performs professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly-defined issues. Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve.
• Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments that have direct impact on department and are results. Receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues.
• Implements prototype solutions then validates and verifies results by completing tests.
• Prepares customers to use system by conducting training:developing SMEs and assisting with End-User development.
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Maintains and shares professional and technical knowledge with clients and peers.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Collaborate and produce deliverables and client collateral to include:
• Solution Summary Documents
• Process descriptions and diagrams
• High-level system context diagrams
• Configuration plans
• Conversion plans
• Training plans
• Cut-over plans
• Training Job Guides, QRGs, SOPs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong WMS Experience
• Experience with SQL (Oracle preferred)
• 3 years of experience with ZPL for labels
• Provides senior level design for client specific enhancements
• Proactively troubleshoots and resolves issues that arise during the implementation
• Experience working in a client/customer facing role within a supply chain or software organization
• Experience in Business Process Definition, Support, and Design

Functional Flows, Process Descriptions, Future State Models, Root Cause Analysis

Minimum 4 years of WMS utilization experience and integration with other process areas

• Tier 1 or Tier 2 WMS experience
• WMS application to support warehouse operations
• WMS application integration to various 3rd party softwares such as: ERPs, OMS, WCS, WES, etc.
• Printing solutions: documents and labelsShipping solutions: Fedex, UPS, USPS, DHL, freight carriers
• Past experience as a WMS SME with knowledge of Inbound Processing, Outbound Processing, Physical Inventory, RF Transactions, cycle counting, general warehousing, and MHE/Automation integration Set-upCon figurationDay-to-day Support
• Strong experience working in warehouse and fulfillment operations with a keen sense of:

Lean opportunities, Best practices, SafetyRegulatory compliance

Additional Requirements:

• Strong leadership skills with past experience in leading workstreams and teams in problem resolution, new development of processes, and implementation of WMS application, modifications, or extensions.
• Strong experience in BI/BA tools, reports, and dashboardsUnderstanding of data and system integration tools, methods, and platforms
