Job summary

County College of Morris Foundation is seeking an Assistant Coach, Softball - Tier 1 for the women's program. This part-time role supports the Head Coach with preseason training, practice organization, and game-day preparation, including post-season planning.

You will assist in scheduling and conducting practices, attend team events and department functions, and may participate in weekends and overnight competitions.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience with competitive playing or coaching at college level preferred.
Must hold current AED and CPR certification.
Defensive driving and 15-passenger van safety training required upon acceptance; ability to operate a 15-passenger van.
DMV and criminal history background check required; in good standing with Morris County Risk Management.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Coach in organizing practices and game preparation across pre-season, seasonal, and post-season periods.
Represent the program at CCM Open Houses, coaches' meetings, and department functions as assigned.
Participate in weekends and overnight games and possible National Tournaments.
Serve as Campus Security Authority reporting to Public Safety.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
