Velvet Caviar is seeking a Soft Goods Product Developer to own and expand our bags category, from viral sleeves to vanity cases. You will be the technical mastermind driving innovation across our soft goods pipeline, collaborating with designers, factory managers, and the founder.

In this hybrid role (2 days in the Brooklyn office), you will lead development, convert sketches into tech packs, oversee timelines, negotiate with vendors, and report on trends and consumer feedback to guide future

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design or Production.
• 3–5 years developing bags or soft goods.
• Experience with factories in China.
• Strong organization and timeline management.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development for soft goods bags in tech and travel.
• Draft 2D sketches with designers.
• Convert 2D designs into factory-ready tech packs.
• Communicate daily with overseas factories.
• Organize samples for leadership approval.
• Submit tech packs for purchase orders.
• Oversee production timelines for on-time delivery.
• Negotiate pricing across vendors.
• Collaborate with packaging designers.
• Report on product landscape and opportunities.
• Create organized tracking systems for developments.
• Source and screen new vendors.
