Job summary

Velvet Caviar, a leading fashion tech accessory brand, seeks a Product Development Coordinator to organize timelines, manage samples, and merchandise new collections. You will serve as the organizational engine, coordinating weekly priorities and ensuring on-time progression from concept to production.

You will collaborate with Product Developers and Design teams, track samples, and optimize development workflows.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Merchandising, Production, Fashion, or related field.
• 2–4 years of product development coordination experience within fashion, accessories, beauty, or consumer products.
• Hands-on experience managing development calendars and physical samples.
• Strong timeline and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the master product development calendar.
• Manage weekly deadlines and priorities across all Product Developers.
• Track developments from initial concept through production handoff.
• Monitor development samples and ensure they arrive on schedule.
• Proactively follow up on late samples, approvals, and deliverables.
• Receive, unbox, label, photograph, and organize incoming samples.
• Organize and lay out samples for weekly product development reviews.
• Maintain a highly organized physical sample library and workspace.
• Prepare weekly development meetings, priorities, and action items.
• Identify timeline risks and elevate potential delays before launch.
• Partner with Product Developers to merchandise new collections.
• Pair new phone case styles with matching new and existing accessories.
• Help build cohesive collections across colors, patterns, and products.
• Maintain organized records of approved and reference samples.
• Coordinate samples and information across Product, Design, and Creative.
• Improve development trackers, workflows, and organizational systems.
• Ensure developers have clear visibility into upcoming deadlines.

As a Product Development Coordinator, you’ll support several Product Developers by managing development timelines, samples, weekly priorities, and collection merchandising. REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Merchandising, Production, Fashion, or related field
• 2-4 years of product development coordination experience within fashion, accessories, beauty, or consumer products

• Strong understanding of physical product development and sampling cycles
• Highly organized with exceptional timeline and project management skills
• Experienced managing multiple deadlines simultaneously
• Proactive follow-up skills with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong attention to detail across samples, trackers, and documentation
• Comfortable holding teammates accountable to deadlines and deliverables
• Strong visual eye for color, trends, products, and collection merchandising
• Experienced with Excel, Google Sheets, and project management tools
• Strong written, verbal, and cross-functional communication skills
• Creative thinker, strong problem solver, and positive attitude
• Comfortable working hands-on with physical products and samples
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent launches
• Comfortable with a hybrid schedule (2 days/week in office)
