Job summary
GE Vernova Research-Energy Research seeks a Solid Oxide fuel cell testing engineer to design, operate and troubleshoot high-temperature systems for energy storage and conversion. You will lead experimental work, develop protocols, and guide new capabilities aligned with GE Vernova's energy transition goals.
The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data-driven analysis, and independent execution to advance materials processes and system integration for commercial and research
Qualifications
- Bachelor or associate degree in engineering, materials science, manufacturing, or related field with 6+ months SOFC testing experience.
- Experience in instrumentation and controls, LabVIEW programming, troubleshooting and test operation.
- Safety practices applied to experimental design and lab work.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects in energy conversion and storage, focusing on solid oxide fuel cells and related technologies.
- Develop testing protocols, build tests, maintain equipment and analyze results.
- Design instrumentation and controls for reliable, reproducible testing.
- Propose new technologies and capabilities for future SOFC applications.
- Prepare reports and presentations detailing value, strategy and outcomes.
