Job summary

Teragen Energy Corporation is seeking a Materials Scientist/Engineer to advance our Solid Oxide Fuel Cell platform toward a manufacturable, scalable product. You will own materials characterization, develop new materials, and optimize seal and interconnect components while collaborating with the Cell Development Team.

Ideal candidates have a strong materials science background and hands-on characterization experience, with a focus on translating materials insights into manufacturable product

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field with 0-6 years of experience.
• Strong fundamentals and experience with materials characterization techniques such as SEM, TGA/DTA, Dilatometry, PSD, BET.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials characterization and focused studies, including failure analysis and material/process tradeoffs.
• Develop cell and stack materials from composition through processing to production-ready specs.
• Collaborate on scale-up, degradation analysis, failure diagnosis, and process improvements.
• Partner with Mechanical and Test Engineering to understand manufacturability and test results.
• Design and execute experimental plans with clear documentation for fast, traceable decisions.
