Job summary

Teragen Energy Massachusetts is seeking a hands-on Ceramic Engineer to join our cell and stack fabrication team. You’ll work on powder and ink formulation, forming, coating, and sintering to develop and scale single cells, seals, and interconnects.

This role emphasizes building robust, scalable processes, transitioning from research methods to manufacturing, and documenting systems for team-wide reuse. You will collaborate with the Materials Engineer and the broader Teragen team in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in ceramic engineering, materials science, or related field.
• 2–6+ years of experience in ceramic engineering or SOFC fabrication.
• Experience with tape casting, screen printing, slurry formulation, sintering, extrusion.
• Hands-on, self-motivated with curiosity and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and drive fabrication of Teragen's advanced SOFC cells, including powder and ink formulation, forming, coating, and sintering.
• Develop, test, and scale manufacturing processes that improve performance, repeatability, and yield.
• Work alongside our Materials Engineer to invent and refine seal, interconnect, and interface materials for next-generation stacks.
• Build processes that don't just work once—they work every time—and document them so the entire team can build on your work.
• Help transition fabrication from research methods to robust, scalable manufacturing.
