Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Specialist to support the POTFF program for USSOCOM. You will design and administer training protocols, provide expert instruction on exercises, and coordinate with HP staff to optimize physical performance in austere environments.

The role emphasizes safe training, data collection, and collaboration with medical and operations teams. A CSCS/CSCCA and CPR/AED certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.
• Master’s degree is preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Establish and administer strength and conditioning protocols to maximize SOF performance.
• Design, implement, evaluate, and document training programs.
• Coordinate training with HP staff for safe return-to-training after injury.
• Instruct on exercises, movements, and injury prevention.
• Refer new medical conditions to appropriate medical providers.
• Maintain facility safety and equipment standards and collect program data.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline

Master’s degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline

Tools

CSCS Certification (NSCA) or CSCCA SCCC
