Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a Senior Strength and Conditioning Specialist to support the POTFF program for U.S. SOF.

You will design and refine evidence-based strength protocols, track outcomes with analytics, and ensure safe return-to-training for injured personnel across diverse environments. The role emphasizes collaboration with HP staff, development of training materials, and rigorous documentation in HP systems, with a flexible, hybrid work arrangement and strong focus on

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline
• NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or CSCCa SCCC
• 10+ years of experience in sport/mission-specific performance programs
• Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance
• CPR/AED certification

Responsibilities

• Design, administer, evaluate, refine, and document strength and conditioning protocols for SOF personnel.
• Use statistics and analytics to track program effects and report to HP leadership.
• Coordinate with HP staff to ensure safe return-to-training for injured personnel.
• Develop training materials and SOPs for the HP program.
• Maintain facility safety, equipment, and documentation in HP databases.
