Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute in Kentucky seeks a full-time Strength and Conditioning Specialist to support USSOCOM POTFF program for SOF personnel. You will design and manage training protocols, supervise exercise technique, and ensure safe rehab and return-to-duty in collaboration with HP staff.

You will collect program data, participate in staff training, and contribute to evidence-based decision-making in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, health science or related field required.
• NSCA CSCS or CSCCA certification required.
• Minimum five years of experience developing performance programs for athletes or SOF.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Must be physically capable to demo exercises and hike in austere environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and administer strength and conditioning protocols for SOF personnel.
• Design, implement, and evaluate physical training programs.
• Coordinate with HP staff for safe return-to-training after injury.
• Demonstrate exercises and provide injury prevention instruction.
• Refer to medical providers for new/undiagnosed conditions as needed.
• Maintain facility safety, equipment standards, and data reporting.

5+ years performance program exp
