Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions in support of POTFF’s HP program for SOF personnel.

The contractor will work with PTs, PT Techs, ATCs, and other staff, perform supervision when directed, participate in meetings, and ensure documentation and adherence to clinical guidelines in diverse training environments.

Qualifications

• The contractor shall possess a Master’s degree in physical therapy and certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) as either an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) or Sports Certified Specialist (SCS), or certification through the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) as a certified athletic trainer (ATC) is required.
• Credentials such as CSCS through NSCA are preferred.
• The contractor shall maintain credentialing requirements in good standing at the local MTF.
• The contractor shall meet physical demands of training with SOF, including hiking and austere environments.
• May assist with strength and conditioning testing and lifting up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions; treat patients with or without referrals.
• Provide musculoskeletal injury care with privileges including imaging orders, labs, basic pharmaceuticals, and referrals; ensure documentation.
• Supervise PT Tech/ATC as directed by HP program Manager/Coordinator.
• Participate in meetings to review care and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Advise on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and administrative matters; contribute to databases and literature review.
• Develop and update clinical practice guidelines to ensure consistency across training centers.
• Document care in the Military Electronic Health Record and HP Enterprise database.

Education

Master’s degree in physical therapy; doctoral degree preferred

ABPTS OCS or SCS certification

NATA ATC certification

CSCS (NSCA)

Active state licensure (US/DC/territories)

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
