Job summary

Sigma Defense is seeking a Liaison Officer for the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) to support our team at Ft. Bragg, NC. The LNO will work in the Secretariat for Special Operations (SSO), advising CD&I on capability gaps and rapid fielding of SOF technologies.

Requirements include 10+ years in SOF, MARSOC experience, and a Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance. Domestic travel up to 25% and five days in office are expected; telework is negotiable for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of prior service in Special Operations.
• Experience within MARSOC.
• Strong technical understanding of SOF formations, systems, networks, and acquisition principles.
• Capable of traveling up to 25% of the time.
• On-site reporting requirement of 5 days in office; Telework/remote work is negotiable for exceptionally qualified candidates.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary local interface to Special Operations Command and performs liaison functions between the Command and CD&I.
• Accomplishes task requirements with designated government project leads, ensures demonstration and evaluation schedules are met, and manages the relationship between the customer and contract personnel.
• Supports ongoing capability development activities to meet emergent operational needs within the Combatant Commander Area of Responsibility.
• Develops and refines technical and operational requirements for SOF-peculiar capability gaps.
• Leverages an understanding of SOF operational mission profiles to help identify technology requirements, shortfalls, and potential mitigation strategies.
• Coordinates, plans, and executes technology assessments, operational evaluations, and leadership theater visits; delivers regular situational reports and technical briefs across channels.
