Quattro, an operating firm of Command Holdings, a Pequot company, seeks a SOF Exercise Designer IV to support USASOC at Ft. Bragg, NC.

You will provide exercise planning and scenario development across the Joint Exercise Life Cycle for USASOC’s programs, including TTXs, CPX, SELS, EMER Deployment Readiness, and FTXs to achieve commander objectives. The Designer will conduct front-end analysis, create stress scenarios, contribute to MSEL, and attend JELC events, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years experience in SOF //OR// Associate’s s Degree with 15 years experience working in SOF.
• Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum of 6 years serving in a SOF staff billet.
• Minimum of 5 years in exercise and scenario design and management.
• Minimum of 8 years conducting joint and coalition operations and training.
• Minimum of 4 years developing operational products to support GCC and TSOC SOF/CT exercises.
• Minimum of 4 years researching and integrating current intelligence for complex scenarios.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exercise planning and scenario development for all portions of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).

Job description

Quattro, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a SOF Exercise Designer to support the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) located at Ft. Bragg, NC. The SOF Exercise Designer IV will provide exercise planning and scenario development for all portions of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) for USASOC’s exercise programs. Exercise planning and scenario development is essential for Table Top Exercises (TTXs), Command Post Exercises, Senior Leader Seminars, Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercises, and Field Training Exercises, to achieve the stated objectives of the commander.

The SOF Exercise Designers conduct front-end analysis by reviewing current operational directives, standing contingency plans, and conceptual approaches. They will create scenarios to stress decision-making, capabilities, joint warfighting functions and address the operational and tactical issues in the increasingly complex environments. The designers will contribute to development of the Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) for operations based or complex discussion-based exercises and attend all Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) events.

Work Environment

• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
• Ability to work in confined areas.
• Ability to work in remote and rural environments.

Physical Demands

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years experience in SOF //OR// Associate’s s Degree with 15 years experience working in SOF //OR// prior (E9, CW4-CW5, O5-O6) with 15 years experience working in SOF.
• Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum of 6 years of recent experience serving in a command, senior enlisted advisor, or primary staff billet in a SOF (USSOCOM/TSOC), Service, Joint Staff, OSD, or 3-4 Star level Service/GCC HQs.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in exercise and scenario design and management.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience conducting joint and coalition operations and training.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with Service, SOF, and Joint doctrine, planning, operations, training, and exercises.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience developing operational products to support GCC and TSOC SOF/CT exercises.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience researching and integrating current intelligence and operations to develop complex scenarios, studies, and analysis related to SOF core activities for all geographic areas.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience to communication exercise design details with operational level exercise planners, staffs, and commanders; interagency partners, and partner nation exercise planners.
• Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Valid driver’s license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain company liability insurance through a clean driving record.

• Completion of Service or Joint Senior Professional Military Education or Enlisted equivalent..
• Graduate of Service or Joint ILE or Enlisted equivalent.
• Prior experience assigned or supporting USASOC.
