Aims Community College seeks an adjunct sociology instructor for the Early College Academy in Greeley, CO. The role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction across levels of course offerings and coordinating with the Early College program.

Occasional travel may be required for events; the position is part-time with per-credit pay and eligibility for limited benefits based on hours worked.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in sociology (or related field) is required.
• 18 graduate credit hours in sociology or closely related field may substitute for up to three graduate credits.
• K-12 teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with concurrent enrollment/dual enrollment programs encouraged.
• Experience using technology in classroom or online teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Early College assignment requirements and events.
• Teach to develop, implement, evaluate and update program objectives.
• Utilize technology to enhance instruction and learning outcomes.
• Apply learning-centered educational practices and communicate clear outcomes.
• Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes and program activities.
