Job summary

Aims Community College seeks part-time faculty for the Early College Academy program in Colorado. In this role you will teach courses, develop and refresh curriculum, and support high school students earning college credit.

Occasional travel may be required, with weekday afternoons and some evenings for parent/teacher activities. A Master’s degree in sociology or related field and K‑12 teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in sociology or related field; 18 graduate credits in sociology or related field.
• K-12 teaching experience.
• Experience with concurrent/dual enrollment programs.
• Experience using technology in the classroom or online.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Early College assignment requirements (contract days, schedule, events).
• Teach to develop, implement, evaluate and update program objectives and framework.
• Comply with College policies and faculty responsibilities.
• Provide high‑quality instruction and modernize curriculum to meet college standards.
• Use technology to enhance instruction and learning outcomes.
• Create clearly defined outcomes for student learning.
• Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
