Per Diem staff are required to work three (3) shifts per month, including two (2) weekend shifts, one (1) major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), and one (1) major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) per year.

As a Social Worker at MiraVista in Holyoke, Massachusetts, you will bring your experience and knowledge to a vital role. The Social Worker is an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team, providing direct care and support to patients and their families, and making impactful decisions affecting patients, peers, and the community. Responsibilities include:

1. Participating actively in the healthcare team to provide direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians.
2. Providing clinical social work services in collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and direct care staff.
3. Administering biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, case management, therapy, and systems interventions aimed at discharge and aftercare planning.
4. Assisting with insurance utilization review and acting as a liaison among patients, families, the hospital, and community agencies for care coordination.
5. Contributing to treatment planning by developing, implementing, and documenting goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric needs.

Qualifications include:

1. LCSW or license eligibility for LMHC is required; LICSW or LMHC with experience in inpatient behavioral health or acute care preferred.
2. Master's Degree in a clinical field is required.
3. Child & Adolescent Needs & Strengths (CANS) Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
4. Experience in inpatient behavioral health, short-term treatment, or acute care is preferred.
5. Advanced knowledge in clinical behavioral health treatment, family modalities, risk, and safety assessment is required.
6. Sufficient typing and computer skills for Electronic Health Record systems, with experience in Medsphere/Vista preferred.
7. Understanding of community support systems and discharge planning is essential.
