The Department of Corrections in Camp Hill seeks a dedicated Social Worker 2 to coordinate social work and case management for inmates and their families.

You will work with inmates, families, community partners and staff to provide counseling, reentry planning, and continuity of care. This full-time role offers opportunities to support positive outcomes, with duties including program coordination and policy compliance.

Competenze

• Two years of professional social work experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in social work or social welfare.
• CJIS certification within two months of hire.

• Case Management: Assess inmate needs and coordinate services that support development and adjustment.
• Counseling Support: Provide guidance, crisis intervention and support to inmates and families.
• Program Coordination: Develop, implement and coordinate social service programs with DOC staff and community organizations.
• Reentry Planning: Assist with parole planning, discharge coordination and community placements.
• Community Collaboration: Communicate with families, community agencies, and staff to support reintegration.
• Policy Compliance: Interpret and apply social work laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
