Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or closely related field.
• Two years of direct counseling experience in an agency or government setting.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Conducts group and individual counseling.
• Addresses inmate concerns through unit case management, including parole summaries and classifications reassessments.
• Coordinates institutional programs such as employment, earned time, and volunteer processes.
• Maintains documentation of inmate records, visitation lists, and related materials.
• Serves as liaison to community providers, parole authorities, court officials, and treatment service providers.
• Collects and stamps communication forms and distributes responses to inmates.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
