Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is hiring a part-time Behavioral Health Counselor to work Monday–Friday, 10:30 am–7:00 pm in the Outpatient Behavioral Health department. The role focuses on emotional support, crisis intervention and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related required.
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, MFT, or related field preferred.
• Current registration or intern status with the relevant board.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• Minimum one year inpatient or outpatient behavioral health experience preferred.

• Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm

• Location: 2233 W Division St, Chicago, IL 60622
• Compensation: $28.42 to $41.17 per hour

Responsibilities

To provide emotional support, crisis intervention and counseling; information and referral; referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families with problems that are related to treatment services, illness, disability or trauma. To provide case management & milieu management, complete psychosocial assessments, assist in the development and re-evaluation of Treatment Plans and work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and to coordinate discharge planning. Complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical record for each client during his/her length of stay.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
• 1. Bachelor’s degree Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related required.
• 2. Masters in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or related field, preferred.
• 3. Current registration an intern with Board, as appropriate to education and licensing requirements.
• 4. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 5. Minimum one (1) year Inpatient l or Outpatient Behavioral Health experience preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $28.42 to $41.17.
