Job summary

Waupaca County Department of Human Services is seeking a Social Worker for Access and Targeted Safety Support Services. The role blends 75% access/community response with 25% CPS-based safety services, focusing on developing Protective Plans and in-home safety supports for families involved with Child Protective Services.

Responsibilities include coordinating safety planning, meeting with families, and working with CPS case managers to prevent removals and support reunification when applicable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care principles.
• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Take reports of alleged child abuse and neglect.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Protective/Safety Plans with CPS.
• Schedule and conduct safety planning meetings with families and CPS staff.
• Document all contacts and ensure information is recorded in eWiSACWIS.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as directed.
