Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Social Worker 2 at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) Waymart to provide social work and case management services for inmates, coordinate programs, and guide reentry planning. Work includes counseling, documentation, and policy application to support inmate well-being.

The position offers 37.5 hours weekly, with a schedule 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, and eligibility for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55; telework is not available.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of experience as a Social Worker 1 or Forensic Social Worker 1 (commonwealth titles) (must have been employed in a commonwealth social worker job title on September 8, 2008, with continuous commonwealth employment); or
• Two years of experience as a Social Worker 1 or a Forensic Social Worker 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) and a bachelor's degree in social work or social welfare; or
• Two years of professional experience providing direct public or private social work services, and a bachelor's degree in social work or social welfare; or
• A master's degree in social work or social welfare.

• Program Coordination: Develop, implement, and coordinate social service programs with staff and community groups
• Inmate Support: Provide counseling, guidance, crisis management, and supportive services to inmates and families
• Case Documentation: Maintain records and reports that support effective case management and communication
• Reentry Planning: Assist with parole preparation, reentry coordination, and community placement processes
• Policy Application: Interpret and apply social work laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Complaint Review: Investigate reported human rights concerns and verify needed information
