Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Social Worker 1 or Forensic Social Worker 1 (commonwealth titles) or equivalent with a degree.
• Master's degree in social work or social welfare.
• CJIS certification within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate social service programs with staff and community groups.
• Provide counseling, guidance, crisis management, and supportive services to inmates and families.
• Maintain records and reports that support effective case management and communication.
• Assist with parole preparation, reentry coordination, and community placement processes.
• Interpret and apply social work laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Investigate reported human rights concerns and verify needed information.
