TSP Ed Co is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team and support students in a school setting in Channahon, IL.

This is a great opportunity for a School Social Worker who enjoys building meaningful relationships with students, supporting their social-emotional well-being, and helping children overcome barriers that may impact their academic and personal success.

What You'll Do

As a School Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and other members of the educational team to provide individualized social-emotional and behavioral support. Responsibilities may include:

• Providing individual and/or small-group counseling and social-emotional support
• Supporting students with behavioral, emotional, and social needs
• Conducting assessments to identify student needs and appropriate interventions
• Developing and implementing individualized support strategies and intervention plans
• Helping students develop coping, communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy skills
• Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student programming and goals
• Connecting students and families with appropriate school and community resources
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of services and student progress
• Maintaining student confidentiality and following all school and TSP Ed Co policies

Qualifications

• Active IL license or credential appropriate for school-based social work practice
• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
• School-based and/or special education experience is a plus
• Knowledge of child development, social-emotional needs, and behavioral support strategies
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students succeed
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to meet all applicable school, licensing, and employment requirements
