Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and driven School Social Worker to join a thriving educational community in Chicago, IL. This role is essential to fostering a positive school environment by addressing the social and emotional needs of students, collaborating with staff and families, and implementing programs that promote mental health and well-being.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide counseling services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and strategies.Conduct individual and group sessions focused on personal development, conflict resolution, and coping mechanisms.Facilitate communication between the school and external support agencies.Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to enhance mental health awareness and support.Advocate for students and families to access additional resources and services.

QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement.Previous experience in school or youth-related settings preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.Passion for creating equitable and inclusive school environments.
