Job summary

Contra Costa County's Employment and Human Services Department is seeking four Social Work Supervisor II to lead and mentor a team of Social Worker II & III professionals in a fast-paced child welfare environment. You will ensure policy compliance, coordinate staff development, and drive performance improvements across programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology with specialization as described.
• California Driver's License required; out-of-state license accepted during application.
• Three years of full-time social casework experience in public/private human services.
• Experience with Juvenile or Superior Court proceedings and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Social Worker II & III professionals and support staff.
• Set performance expectations, track progress, coach, and resolve conflicts.
• Manage programs and run individual and group supervision meetings.
• Interpret county, state, and federal child welfare policies; train staff.
• Participate in inter-agency meetings and county committees related to child welfare.
