Job summary

Butte County Social Services Division seeks a supervisory Social Worker to lead a team handling child welfare caseloads. You will supervise, coach, and guide staff, while ensuring adherence to policy and best practices.

You will coordinate training, performance reviews, and QA activities to improve service delivery. Role requires strong case management skills, collaboration with program managers, and the ability to respond to crises and complex family situations.

Qualifications

• Supervises Social Services Associates and Social Workers.
• Experience in supervising caseloads and staff development.
• Strong knowledge of social work methods and case management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, assign cases, and evaluate performance.
• Provide coaching, guidance on professional responsibilities and technical skills.
• Lead unit meetings and ensure effective communication between staff and programs.
• Review and approve staff documentation and time studies.
• Coordinate responses to federal/state reviews and performance data.
