Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care, Care Coordination Division, located in Iowa City, seeks a Social Worker III to deliver direct social work services, including assessment, treatment, and recommendations to move patients through the continuum of care with their families.

The role involves interdisciplinary collaboration, individual and group therapy, consultation, and participation in program development and teaching.

Qualifications

• MSW with clinical social work experience of 6 months to 1 year.
• A license to practice social work in Iowa.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans of care responsive to patient and family needs.
• Perform social work assessments with patient and/or family.
• Provide individual and group social work services for patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and advocate for social work role.
• Participate in teaching, program development, and department activities.
• Contribute to social work professional development.
