Job summary

VinePair is seeking a motivated Social Video Editor & Photographer to join our team in New York. The role focuses on creating videos for social channels (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and shooting photos for editorial and brand partnerships, while supporting editorial tentpoles and events.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well in a team, and brings creativity to grow our publication. Must be able to travel and attend after-hours events as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of social media video content creation experience.
• Proficiency in video editing and photo editing software.
• Ability to edit quickly on tight turnarounds.
• Excellent organization and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaborative attitude.
• Passion for wine, beer, spirits and drinking culture.
• Experience with client branding guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Edit social video and long form video, with tight deadlines.
• Conduct regular video shoots with iPhones and DSLR cameras.
• Conduct regular photo shoots for VinePair and brand partners.
• Edit photos based on project needs (website, print, events).
• Support brand partnerships and editorial projects.
• Write scripts for social-first videos (recipes, explainers, reviews).
• Assist with other parts of video production (reading scripts, lighting, equipment).
• Attend meetings to support functions of the role.
• Regular travel for work, including weekends.
• Regular after-hours event attendance.
