Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland seeks a Resource Teacher (RT) to provide leadership to departments, support classroom teachers, model instruction, and foster a professional learning community within the department and school.

Under the direction of the High School Principal, you will observe and analyze instructional practices, collaborate with supervisors on instructional issues, and assist in developing the master schedule to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• Masters degree or MEQ in applicable field from an accredited college or university required.
• A minimum of five years successful secondary teaching with three of those years in the appropriate subject field with one year in MCPS preferred.
• Completion of OAT 1 by the beginning of the second year and OAT 2 by the end of the second year in assignment.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership to departments or subject field(s) and support classroom teachers in the instructional program.
• Serve as instructional role model and develop a professional learning community within the department and school.
• Observe and analyze instructional practices, collaborate with supervisors on instructional issues, and help develop the master schedule.
