Job summary

Acceleration Academies is seeking a Social Studies Content Coach to support Graduation Candidates (GCs) with competency-based content, personalized learning, and guidance toward graduation and post‑secondary success. You’ll collaborate with a team to provide academic, social‑emotional, and career-oriented support for each learner’s journey.

You will help enroll new GCs, develop learning plans, monitor progress, and deliver lessons in a supportive environment that emphasizes student growth,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Texas 7-12 Social Studies certification (REQUIRED).
• 2+ years of high school teaching experience preferred.
• Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for helping at‑risk youth succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Support GC enrollment through recruitment and engagement.
• Develop Personalized Learning Plans for Graduation Candidates (GCs).
• Serve as an advisor to GCs, maintaining communication with learners and support team.
• Monitor attendance, progress, and wellbeing to ensure engagement.
• Deliver content-area instruction in individual and small-group settings.
• Use assessments to track GC progress toward course completion and mastery.
• Provide remediation and enrichment to address learning gaps.
• Participate in professional development and school events.
