Acceleration Academies is seeking a Social Studies Content Coach to serve as the primary instructional resource for Graduation Candidates, delivering competency-based content and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success.

You’ll collaborate with a team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support, plan and deliver content, monitor progress, and participate in professional development to advance outcomes for at‑risk youth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Texas 7-12 secondary certification in Social Studies (REQUIRED).
• 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred).
• Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Enrollment: Support new Graduation Candidate enrollment through recruitment and engagement efforts.
• Enrollment: Assist with the development of Personalized Learning Plans for GCs.
• Retention: Advise GCs and maintain communication with learners and support team.
• Retention: Monitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellbeing to ensure consistent engagement and achievement.
• Academics: Plan and deliver content-area instruction in individual and small-group settings.
• Academics: Monitor progress toward course completion and mastery using assessments.
• Academics: Analyze data to inform instruction and improve outcomes.
• Advocacy: Develop personalized learning pathways and transition strategies with the GC support team.
• Advocacy: Represent the academy at community events and contribute to initiatives.
