Job summary

Cooper Green Mercy is seeking a Social Services Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the Social Services Department, ensuring adherence to workflows, audits, referrals, and resources processes. The role involves policy development, onboarding needs, and program refinement to improve patient care and efficiency.

The supervisor will collaborate with leaders, medical providers, and administrative staff to enhance service delivery, ensure safety, and drive continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or closely related field required.
• Five years of Social Worker experience; leadership/management experience preferred.
• Current LMSW or eligibility to be licensed (Alabama).

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and supervise social services department duties.
• Participate in CQI; report data to responsible personnel.
• Support department budgeting and fiscal goals; monitor compliance.
• Assist in drafting departmental policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.
• Build relationships with interdisciplinary teams within CGMHSA and the community.
• Participate in special projects to support operations.
