Job summary

The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) in Delaware seeks a Social Service Administrator to help develop and oversee statewide programs that support individuals and families. Qualifications

• Three years of health or human services experience applying theories, laws and practices.
• Six months experience in health or human services program administration including development, implementation and evaluation.
• Six months experience in developing policies or procedures.
• Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, evaluates, collects and analyzes program data.
• Prepares interpretative reports of program goals and objectives.
• Participates in developing policies, regulations and contracts.
• Acts as liaison with State/Federal agencies and community organizations.
• Assesses impact of proposed rules on operations financially and programmatically.
