Job summary

County of Santa Clara seeks a Social Services Analyst to analyze, interpret, develop and disseminate Social Services policies and procedures. Position supports the agency's mission through data-driven analysis and program support, located at the Julian Campus of Social Services Agency.

You will work with diverse teams, review regulatory changes, and provide staff training as needed, contributing to improved service delivery for children, youth, adults and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or closely related field.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience.
• Two years of experience equivalent to Social Worker II.
• Possession of a valid California driver's license may be required.
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws and programs pertinent to social services.
• Ability to research, analyze data and prepare clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Represents the Social Services Agency to other County departments, committees, contracted agencies, and community groups.
• Facilitates meetings and serves as a resource for program staff and management to meet client needs.
• Interprets and explains policies between departments, outside groups, and agencies.
• Provides community planning and organization with outside groups involved in human services.
• Performs special short- or long-term assignments including Fair Hearing and Public Information.
• Conducts program or budget evaluations and analyzes data, preparing reports.
