Arcadia Care in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Social Services Director to oversee the social services department and guide programs that meet residents’ emotional, social, and psychological needs, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team for quality care and regulatory compliance.

The role acts as a liaison with residents and families, advocates for residents’ rights, and leads staff to deliver compassionate, compliant services across the facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential.
• Experience in long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social service programs to support residents’ well-being.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and maintain documentation.
• Advocate for residents’ rights and assist with care planning and discharge processes.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and administrative staff to address resident needs.
• Provide counseling and support to residents and families during transitions and crises.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Train and supervise social services staff as needed.
